چکیده

Introduction: C-phycocyanin (C-PC), a photosynthetic protein obtained from Spirulina , is regarded highly promising commercially available biochemical. Numerous in vitro and vivo studies have provided evidence of C-PC’s ability to mitigate the inflammatory response, alleviate oxidative stress, facilitate wound healing. However, despite existing knowledge regarding protective mechanism against cellular apoptosis induced by ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation, further experiments are needed explore its anti-photoaging mechanism. Methods: In this study, UVB-induced skin photoaging model was established using BALB/c-nu mice, potential effects topically administered c-PC were investigated various molecular biology tools. addition, novel delivery system, C-PC nanodispersion, developed transdermal C-PC. Results: C- PC demonstrated significant activities skin. The application dorsal mice resulted improved macroscopic characteristics, such as reduced sagging coarse wrinkling, under UVB irradiation Histological analyses showed that treatment significantly decreased symptoms epidermal thickening, prevented dermal collagen fiber loosening, increased hydroxyproline (Hyp) content antioxidant enzymes (such superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase) mouse skin, malondialdehyde levels expressions factors (interleukin-1α [IL-1α], IL-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor-α), matrix metalloproteinase [MMP-3 MMP-9] expressions, inhibited phosphorylation c-Jun N-terminal kinase, extracellular signal-regulated p38 proteins mitogen-activated kinase family. Discussion: By analyzing results new drug nano-dispersion, proposed, effect investigated.

Anti-Photoaging Effect of Jeju Putgyul (Unripe Citrus) Extracts on Human Dermal Fibroblasts and Ultraviolet B-induced Hairless Mouse Skin

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation stimulates the expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and inflammatory cytokines. These signaling pathways participate in the degradation of the extracellular matrix and induce inflammatory responses that lead to photoaging. This study evaluated the antioxidant activity and the effect on MMPs and procollagen of putgyul extract in vitro. The anti-photoaging act...

Anti-photoaging properties of the phosphodiesterase 3 inhibitor cilostazol in ultraviolet B-irradiated hairless mice

We investigated whether cilostazol, an activator of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP)-dependent intracellular signaling, could inhibit ultraviolet B (UVB) irradiation-induced photoaging in HR-1 hairless mice. Cilostazol decreased wrinkle formation and skin thickness in UVB-irradiated mice, as well as increased staining of collagen fibers and inhibition of reactive oxygen species (ROS) forma...

Photoprotective and immunoregulatory capacity of ginsenoside Rg1 in chronic ultraviolet B-irradiated BALB/c mouse skin

The aim of this study was to investigate the photoprotective and immunoregulatory capacities of ginsenoside Rg1 in skin irradiated by chronic ultraviolet B (UVB) and to verify the potential mechanisms of action. BALB/c mice were pretreated with a topical application of ginsenoside Rg1 and irradiated with different doses of UVB daily for 30 consecutive days. Following chronic UVB irradiation, th...

The Effect of Short-Range Radiation of Type C and B Ultraviolet on the Mechanical Properties of Skin Fibroblasts

The effect of UV beam, which has been emitted from a natural or a manmade source on cells has been studied in previous studies for several times. Radiation of this beam can have different effects on DNA of the cell, cytotoxicity, the structure of cellular proteins and their mechanical properties based on radiation period or frequency. The effect of radiation of two types of beams, namely UVB an...

Stereoselective skin anti-photoaging properties of ginsenoside Rg3 in UV-B-irradiated keratinocytes.

Ginsenosides are major bioactive constituents that are responsible for the diverse pharmacological activities of ginseng. This work aimed to assess the skin anti-photoaging activities of the two stereoisomeric forms of ginsenoside Rg3, 20(S)-Rg3 and 20(R)-Rg3. When the two Rg3 stereoisomers were added to cultured human keratinocyte HaCaT cells prior to irradiation with 70 mJ/cm(2) UV-B, 20(S)-R...
